Summary
SummaryIβm Greg Napier, a retired firefighter from Tucson, Arizona, and I want to share how I chased the world for thirty yearsβonly to find emptiness in depression and alcohol addiction. In October 2011, late at night in the fire station, I stumbled onto a faith channel and watched the story of Joseph. Halfway through, an overwhelming peace washed over me, and Matthew 6:33 flashed on screen: βSeek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.β My heart was pierced; I realized I had run my life on my own terms, turning my back on Christ for decades. But that verse wasnβt just a commandβit was an invitation. I sensed Christβs irresistible grace drawing me back. Right then, I confessed my sins, asked forgiveness, and surrendered what little was left of me. I begged Jesus not only to be my Savior but to be my Lord, to take away my addiction. He mercifully did just thatβhe forgave my sin, gave me new life, new purpose, and real joy. I hadnβt experienced peace in years, but now I owe everything to Christ. ππ₯π§
