I’m John, born and raised in Yemen, where memorizing Qur’an and arranged marriage by adolescence weighed on my heart. In 2014, during pilgrimage around the Kaaba, I felt no spiritual connection with Allah. Secretly doubting, I fled Yemen via Iran and Turkey and landed in Greece. There a Syrian brother with a tattoo of the cross invited me to churchβ€”seeing joyous worship and reading the New Testament healed my soul. One year later I was baptized. Though I lost family, home, and country, I gained eternal life in Jesus. Now I share hope with fellow Yemenis online. πŸ™πŸ•ŠοΈβœ¨

Mohamad Faridi was born and raised in a devout Muslim family in the country of Iran. After years of faithfully following the Muslim faith, his goal ultimately became to be a martyr in Jihad.
