Seventh Day Adventist couple healed of ADD, laughter, & tears of JOY. Experience God’s power

SDA couple had never experienced the Holy Spirit before. The wife, Astrid, was healed of ADD & filled with joy. The husband cried for the first time in his life.
Astrid had struggled with ADD and mental slowness all her life. She found it difficult to focus, even on her children. She often felt like something was wrong with her brain, as if she could never give them her full attention.
She attended the London, Reading Miracle Revival with her daughter and husband, where she encountered the power of the Holy Spirit. During the service, God used Apostle Mark to deliver a prophetic word:
“So for lack of a better word, it’s like a fog in your brain. It’s a mental slowness, mental slowness. It’s like a fog in your brain. Where are you?”
Apostle Mark then offered a prayer of faith, commanding her brain to be made whole in Jesus’ name and asking God to give her a clear, alert mind—something she had never experienced before.
During the prayer, Astrid described feeling something difficult to put into words.
“I felt good. My brain feels different. It feels different. This is amazing. I have focus. I have way more focus. I’ve struggled with ADD all my life.”
Her husband was moved to tears by the experience, saying, “It’s amazing.” Before this moment, Astrid couldn’t multitask at all and had always struggled to focus. It was hard for her at work, too—she had trouble prioritizing and deciding what to do next. She often felt tired, overwhelmed, and slow in everything she did.
She had been that way all her life, since she could remember. She believed she inherited it from her father.
But that night, she was healed. Immediately after the prayer, she felt peace in her mind. It was as if something had shifted inside her. You could sense the change.
Her husband also shared what it was like living with her ADHD. He had to work hard just to get her attention. He became the main multitasker, especially with their three-year-old. Things had been getting worse, and he had begun to lose trust in her with tasks he once relied on her for. But that night, he said he felt something too—something powerful. He cried like a baby, which was miraculous in itself because he never cries. He said he couldn’t stop crying that night. “It was a miracle for me too,” he said.
Apostle Mark explained that when the Lord touches one person, He often touches the other—because both need it. “Men who don’t cry,” he said, “may lack compassion and gentleness.” Perhaps, after all the hardship they had gone through with ADHD, the Lord was also doing something in the husband’s heart. The husband responded, “I’m a mathematician—maybe I do lack some things.”
He went on to share more of his story. He had never been to a church like this or believed in miracles like these. He said he was a fifth-generation Seventh-day Adventist—or former SDA, as he now saw his way out of that denomination.
“Seventh-day Adventists are a quasi-cult,” he said. “They follow a modern prophet who teaches a lot of wrong things, as I discovered in 2020.”
His family lineage went deep on both sides in the SDA faith, and because of their departure, they had lost contact with one whole side of their family. There had been a lot of pain and tragedy.
“SDAs are the opposite of anything Pentecostal,” he said. “They don’t believe in speaking in tongues or healing in modern times like we’ve seen here.”
Now, Astrid can pay attention when someone is speaking to her. Before, she couldn’t block out the distractions around her—she was constantly overwhelmed by everything happening at once. While most people can filter out stimuli and focus on a single conversation, she couldn’t.
But now, she can. She can focus.
“I think the fact that you can even share this testimony is proof of your miracle,” someone said.
Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Thank you, Jesus.
