Summary
SummaryI never imagined moving from New York to North Carolina would bring such a lonely start, but when I joined Kid City at Hope Community Church, serving alongside my son gave me purpose and saw me through the hardest news of my life. In February, I learned I had cervical cancerβa diagnosis that shook me to my core. I worried for my children, for my future, and for how to even share this with the young girls I mentored. With trembling hands, I asked parentsβ permission and poured out my heart, only to be met with their unwavering faith. Every week they asked, βIs the cancer gone yet?β and lifted me in prayer with a confidence so strong it became my own. A few weeks later, my scan came back cancer-free! Their faith carried me from fear to hope, and Godβs healing power transformed my story. Now, I stand stronger in faith, trusting His plan for whatever comes next.
When we make a difference in someone’s life by serving selflessly, it changes us too. Lori’s small group of girls at Kid City were a surprising source of encouragement when life took a turn.
