I’m Jamie Vaughn, a martial-arts coach who thought I had life under control—until my wife Amanda collapsed and died in my arms during a 911 call. My world shattered: the dojo, the Hall of Fame, my identity meant nothing. I spiraled into addiction and pain—so bad that I attempted suicide, putting a gun in my mouth. But the shot misfired, and on my knees I cried out to Jesus for help. In that moment, peace and joy flooded my soul like nothing I’d ever known. I surrendered my life to Him, found true purpose beyond medals and titles, remarried, and now serve full-time in ministry—helping others discover the hope I found.
