I grew up with a rough startβ€”my dad was in prison, my stepfather passed away, and I found myself stealing to get by. Even though I believed in Jesus in a shallow, fearful way, I had no idea who He really was. When my old antics as β€˜Boonk Gang’ led me to jail, I encountered an inmate who showed me genuine love and opened the Bible with me. Singing out to Jesus in that cell, I felt the Holy Spirit fill me with peace and joy like I’d never known. Later, I saw another friend survive a deadly shooting and return from death. He, too, called on Jesus and found life. Those moments shattered every doubt I had about God’s power. Slowly, Jesus transformed me. Now, instead of chasing clout and chaos, I share the message of hope behind bars and in everyday life. I rap and speak about His love and forgiveness, so others can find the same freedom and purpose I did through Jesus Christ.
