When his dad unexpectedly passed away when Joe was fifteen, the grief threatened to destroy him—but wrestling school kept him from darker paths. Yet everything changed at an Upper Room service, during an altar call for the “If I Die Before I Wake” show. Compelled by the Holy Spirit, Joe prayed and felt the crushing weight of loss lift off his shoulders, replaced by deep peace and new purpose. Today he’s served over a decade in youth leadership, outreach, and nursing‑home ministries—helping others discover their worth in Christ just as he did.
