I grew up thinking “hands to yourself” made me good with God 🤔. After my grandmother’s death and a move to Florida, I fell into secret struggles—lying, lust, and a false sense of comfort 😔. A friend’s picnic service led me to Matthew 5:28 and Romans 12:2, where I saw my hypocrisy laid bare 📖. Through honest Bible study and accountability, God rescued me from Satan’s trap 🙌. On August 21 1994, I was baptized, and now I live free in Christ 🎉.

I grew up learning right from wrong, using that knowledge to help me avoid any and all punishment. By not doing bad things, I thought I was good with God.

However, my understanding of what is good was weak and poorly reflected in my life.

While studying God’s word, I was challenged to no longer live a lie.

I was a hypocrite…

But God rescued me from satan’s trap, in which I’d been deceived and found a false sense of comfort. Now I am free to live the way God intended all along!
