Summary

I longed for children more than anything, and when my husband Mario and I married in 2002, I was excited to pour love into our own children just as my family had done for me. Despite having good jobs, a nice home, and even trying fertility drugs and in vitro fertilization, we couldnโ€™t conceive. The heartbreak of infertility was overwhelming. I prayed every morning for a breakthrough and was told by God to let go of my own plans. Eventually, we explored international adoption and were blessed when we were matched with two childrenโ€”a four-and-a-half-year-old and a three-year-old. Though the journey was bittersweet as it meant letting go of the family I once envisioned, I learned that true family is shaped by Godโ€™s love. Today, our family is complete, and I am grateful that God fulfilled my prayer by giving me the family I had always longed for.
