Summary
SummaryIβve been a Christian for over twenty years, but my faith feltβ¦ undergroundβfollowed rituals without real power. Seven years ago, my family and I set out from Auckland, New Zealand, to climb Mount Tongariro, excited for a snowy adventure. π The kids were laughing in the snow when a sudden storm rolled in, and I discovered with terror that my brakes had failed going down a steep drop near the ski field. In horror, our car smashed a barrier on the left, veered wildly, but somehow, as I lifted my eyes in desperate prayer, the vehicle miraculously reversed back to the road. π±π
Driving at 100 km/h toward safety, I whispered, βLord, nothing is too hard for You,β and the engine finally regained strength. We rammed into a barrier again, but the car steadied, and we reached our accommodation barely shaken. Later, Noreenβmy wifeβboldly told a local, βYou must give your life to Jesus!β I watched as that stranger surrendered on the spot. In the morning, feeling Godβs unmistakable presence, I dragged myself to a mechanic who said our car was totaled, yet somehow God had carried us four hours back to Auckland. πβ¨
That night, I began speaking in tongues for the first time. The Holy Spirit flooded our hearts, and everything changed. Instead of sitting around after dinner, we worshiped together as a family. Wherever John (me) would speak with someone, Noreen would stir in tongues and intercede. One by one, people surrendered their lives to Jesus right before our eyes. We were dead in spirit but became alive in Christ. Every day since, we canβt stop praising Him for rescuing us physically and spiritually. ππ₯
John and Noreen’s car brakes stopped working but God didn’t pull the brakes on them. They were on a family holiday when they met with an accident but by the grace of God and His miraculous hand upon their lives, God saw them through in their time of need.
God found Noreen and John where they were at, met them not just in their physical circumstances but in their minds and hearts, and brought a radical shift in their lives for the better.
