A traumatized childhood brought about resentment and rage in young Mark Lenaghan. Blinded by violence, an interest in politics led him to join a rebellious political party called IRA. Once arrested, his only regret was not doing enough damage. One day, a missionary priest visited the prison to celebrate Holy Mass and share the Gospel of grace and mercy. The message of God’s mercy moved Rev. Mark Lenaghan, and the scriptures finally got his attention. Slowly, the grace of God began to transform his heart. Like the scales that fell off St. Paul’s eyes, Rev Mark’s anger and rage started to boil down and calm him. Today, he serves as a deacon of the Catholic Church.
