SummaryIโ€™m Sophia Russo, and for years I barely knew God. After attending my best friendโ€™s grandmaโ€™s funeral at Times Square Church, I felt God speaking directly to my heart. Then on June 4th, tragedy struckโ€”my little daughter Ariel was killed by a fleeing SUV, and my world shattered. In the depths of my grief, I cried out, โ€™Jesus, help me!โ€™ and unexpectedly I was wrapped in a supernatural peace. I reached out to the pastor from that funeral, began attending his services in Harlem, and fasted for three days. On the third day, Arielโ€™s preschool teacher emailed me about a dream of my daughter building a huge wooden crossโ€”Godโ€™s answer to my prayer that Jesus is alive and that Ariel is safe in heaven. That revelation led me into New Believers classes at Times Square Church, and I surrendered my life to Christ through baptism. Even my mother experienced healing from her fractured back through prayer, and today we worship together, clinging to hope and the promise that one day Iโ€™ll see Ariel again in heaven.
