Summary

SummaryI’m Zoe, and for years I carried this little voice telling me I wasn’t enough 😔. Growing up in inner-city Los Angeles while my dad battled lymphoma, I felt the weight of guilt—like every hardship was my fault. By seventh grade, that pain drove me to self-harm, and I didn’t see a way out. Then, two summers ago at youth camp, a prayer time felt different: I saw my dad rise from a wheelchair in a vision, and Jesus whispered, ‘you’re worth it’ 💙. That moment cracked open my heart, and later, during a week of sharing stories at a youth exchange, I poured out every scar on paper. When I looked in the mirror afterward, almost all my physical scars were gone. Today, I know I’m a worthy daughter of the King 👑💕.

At last year’s YS Conference, one of our students, Zoe, shared about the healing power that she found in telling her story. We hope you will be encouraged to seek out vulnerability with your community, even when it’s scary or messy.
