Summary
SummaryI grew up in Rocky Mountain, North Carolina, surrounded by hurt and silence. After my parents’ divorce, I turned to drinking, smoking, and oxycontin to escape the pain 😔. A close friend kept inviting me to Hope Community Church, and although I resisted, God’s love eventually broke through. I remember praying, “God, if you’re there, I’m talking to a wall” 🕊️. Over time, I experienced genuine acceptance and hope. I quit drugs, surrendered my life to Christ, and met with a Care Minister who helped me unpack years of anger. Through her guidance, I forgave my father and repaired our relationship—he even told me, “I’m proud of you,” which brought tears of joy. Now, I walk in freedom, healing, and new beginnings 🙌.
