Summary
SummaryIβm Anita, and Iβve battled depression most of my life π. Each morning I didnβt know how Iβd feel, so I survived one day at a time. Depression stole my friendships and left me isolated, and in 2012 I reached the lowest pointβsuicidal thoughts landed me in a mental health clinic. Yet even in my darkest hour, my fear of being without God outweighed my desire to die π. Four years ago my daughter told me about the Human Library South Africa, and there I found purpose. When the director asked why I didnβt follow through with my plan, I realized Godβs love was stronger than my pain. Now I share my story to break the stigma around mental health and remind you: Jesus loves you, and youβre not alone β€οΈ.
