My name is Jahir Israel and I come from a strong Asian Muslim background in Wales. I grew up memorizing the Quran and teaching Islam, with my family expecting nothing less than complete devotion. However, while at university I experienced freedom that led me to fall into a forbidden relationship which, along with inner conflict and feelings of worthlessness, forced me to confront my beliefs. One day, after a series of intense spiritual and physical strugglesβ€”including being tormented by sin and even enduring a period of blindnessβ€”I heard a powerful declaration from a friend: β€œI give my life to Jesus.” That moment shattered my previous certainties. Soon after, I encountered the living truth when, in an overwhelming moment of prayer and surrender, I experienced the healing touch of God. My sight was miraculously restored and, through a series of life-changing encounters including a heartfelt Bible study and baptism, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Today, I minister worldwide with the gospel, testifying that nothing is too hard for God to redeem. I share my story so that anyone struggling in darkness may find hope in the relationship with the true Living God.
