Summary
SummaryHi, Iβm Damaris. One night, Boko Haram fighters stormed our village in Cameroonβs Far North Region. My husband was killed while defending our home π. My friend Sadia nearly lost her life tooβshe still has nightmares from that night. We escaped into the hills and found refuge in the town of Turu. There, thanks to food aid, we and 400 other families received meals that saved our children from starvation ππ. Even in the face of violence and loss, our faith in God sustains us and brings hope of restoration π.

Unfortunately, Christians do not always have their basic needs fulfilled. In the far North region of Cameroon, Open Doors came to help some Christian communities with emergency food distributions as they were in dire need and were victims of violence because of their Christian faith. Open Doors helps with these emergency food distributions all across sub-Saharan Africa.
