My name is Hormoz Shariat and this is how I found the truth. I grew up as a devout Muslim in Iran and left the country just before the rise of the ayatollah to pursue my education in the United States. Although I practiced Islam rigorously in my early years, the intellectual and spiritual challenges I encountered in America led me to question the effectiveness of the religious rituals I once knew. I studied the Quran in search of meaning but was left with deeper questions about how to truly experience God. Determined to find a more satisfying answer, I chose to read the Bibleβ€”finishing it in just a few daysβ€”to compare its message with what I had known. The revelation I found in Jesus transformed my life completely. Today, I run Iran Alive, a ministry dedicated to preaching the Gospel to those still lost in Iran. My journey is a testament to the truth that only Jesus can satisfy the deepest longings of the heart.

Following the Iranian Revolution, Hormoz moved to the United States to pursue his education. With questions in his mind about Islam, he wanted to commit to a religion that was true. After searching the Quran only to be left with more questions, Hormoz found what he was looking for only in Jesus and the Bible.

Hormoz now runs a ministry called Iran Alive that is dedicated to preaching the Gospel to lost souls in Iran.
