Summary

My name is David, and I share my testimony of how Jesus saved my soul and delivered me from the grip of bipolar disorder, addiction, and demonic oppression. Growing up in a normal household in Orange County, California, I was raised with a strong church background and was even baptized as a child. However, during high school and college, I began drifting away from the Lordβ€”getting caught up in sports idolatry, substance use (including drugs, alcohol, marijuana, and even excessive caffeine), and casual sin. This lifestyle eventually led me into a downward spiral where I was hospitalized multiple times for bipolar disorder. Despite warnings from my family to stay on medication, I chose to trust God’s promises. A pivotal moment occurred when a disciple shared a Bible passage from Galatians 5 that revealed the spiritual consequences of my reliance on medication. That lesson, coupled with the pain of homelessness and isolation, drove me to turn around, seek forgiveness, and run toward God. Today, I stand as a living testimony that no matter what diagnosis or addiction you face, if you repent and surrender to Jesus, He will rescue and restore you.
