Summary

My name is Sammy George. I grew up in North Raleigh and was bullied for being different, which made me very reserved. I started running in middle school to feel free, but during college, my focus on losing weight spiraled into an eating disorder. My rock bottom came during a spring semester when I had a severe episode that led my mom and coach to intervene. About a year ago, I discovered Hope through the college ministry, and that community welcomed me with open arms. Now, as a daughter of Christ, I’ve found my identity and am on the road to recovery, with God guiding me every step of the way.
