Summary

SummaryMy life started off as a typical rebellious teen in the 70sβ€”partying, smoking weed, and drifting through life without purpose. But God intervened when a man named Randy simply became my friend and invited me to church. That night, I met Jesus, and everything changedβ€”drugs gone instantly πŸ™Œ.

Yet, the journey wasn’t smooth. My wife and I joined a legalistic home church that left us exhausted and disillusioned. Eventually, I drifted back to rebellion, turning to alcohol to numb the Holy Spirit's conviction πŸ˜”. My marriage deteriorated as I isolated myself emotionally and spiritually.

The turning point came during a painful argument when my wife said, β€œYou don’t love me anymore.” That shattered me πŸ’”. I realized I did love her. God began softening my heart. I cried out to Him one morning while holding a vodka bottle, begging Him to take it awayβ€”and within two weeks, He did πŸ™.

But trials weren’t over. I lost my job and instead of panicking, we pressed into God like never before. Now, I just want to be in His will and live for what lasts eternally. I've learned submission, not control, is where true peace lies. God is faithful. He restores. 🌈
