Summary

SummaryI live in Taliban-run Afghanistan, where following Jesus is nearly impossible. My workplace was searched, so I deleted the Bible from my phone and re-downloaded the audio edition to listen with my family. I memorized the Lord’s Prayer and say it daily to hold onto hope. As a woman barred from finishing my university studies by strict dress codes, I often feel depressed and wonder why God seems distant. But talking with another Afghan believer reminded me to use forced mosque attendance as moments to pray for those around me. Though small in number, our Afghan church stands bold in faith. Thank you for praying for protection and wisdom as we share Jesus’ love in the darkness.

In Taliban-run Afghanistan, following Jesus is nearly impossible, and believers are at risk of interrogation, imprisonment and even death. And yet secret Christians are still living out their faith in any way they can, encouraged by your prayers.
