My name is John Paul and one year after my third encounter with Jesus Christ on January 14, 2023, I share the turning point in my life that led me to leave New Age practices and fully surrender to Jesus. Growing up in a Christian home in the South, I enjoyed church and its activities, but as I grew older, I rebelled against Godβespecially after enduring personal hurts like my fatherβs abandonment and abuse by male figures. I drifted into alcohol abuse, experimented with cannabis, and even immersed myself in New Age philosophies. However, a powerful and life-changing encounter with Jesus shattered all those deceptions. Overwhelmed by His unconditional love, I experienced a profound release of the burdens I had carried. That day, I not only received forgiveness for slandering His name but also began a radical transformationβgetting baptized, getting married, and joining the worship team. My testimony is a snapshot of the journey from rejection and rebellion to restoration and a renewed purpose in Christ.
