I was raised in a devout, frum Orthodox household in Johannesburg, South Africa, where every aspect of life was steeped in religious observanceβ€”from daily prayers and strict adherence to tradition to the pride of belonging to a prestigious Jewish family. Yet, despite all the rituals and expectations, I felt an inner emptiness and a disconnect between my religious practices and my true character. I was living a double life, doing everything β€œby the book” yet never feeling the warmth and acceptance of God. Then, a turning point came when I encountered Yeshua, the Messiah. His transformative power opened my eyes to a new way of livingβ€”one where faith isn’t just about external observance but about a genuine, personal relationship with God that reshapes your heart and identity. My journey from being deeply frum to embracing a life in Christ is a testimony that challenges the notion that our religious identity must define our entire character.
