Summary๐ I thought winning the state soccer championship would bring me lasting happiness. My brother and I led the team to victory, but afterward, I felt empty inside. That summer, I lost my friend Blake, and it shook me deeply. When I went to Young Lifeโs camp in Colorado, I experienced Godโs love for the first timeโunder the stars, I knew Jesus was my Savior. That moment changed everything ๐. I returned home filled with joy and told everyone. I even brought others to experience that same hope, including my brother. Now, I live seeing Godโs love through others and reflecting it myself ๐ซ. God's presence is greater than any worldly success ๐๏ธ.
What happens when we we work hard for something we want- something we think will make us happy, only to find that we still feel empty after we earn it? AJโs high school soccer team had won the state championship, and AJ felt temporarily satisfied, but still unfulfilled. After losing a friend during the following summer, AJ decided to attend Young Lifeโs summer camp. While at camp, AJ experienced Godโs love for the first time and began a journey of understanding that what God offers is so much greater than any temporary feeling of success we can find in our accomplishments.
