SummaryI grew up on the streets of Bangalore, a third-grade dropout who dreamed only of crime. By 17 I was robbing, in prison, and hopelessβ€”my family had cast me out. Alone in a filthy cell, fever-stricken, I cried out to Jesus and promised I’d serve Him if He would heal me. An hour later, drenched in sweat, my fever vanished. Freed on bail, I took an auto-rickshaw license and sensed God’s call to care for the destitute. Starting with a handful of beggars under my father’s shed, I pressed on by faith: rented a small house, rescued hundreds, and today lead four branches serving 800 people daily. Twenty-five years later, lives once lost on Bangalore’s streets find hope and healing through Jesus.

T. Raja, popularly known as Auto Raja, didn’t have a good start in life. His wayward ways, criminal behavior, and bad friendship eventually landed him in prison. The prison days were awful, and he cried out to God in anguish, begging for another chance at life. After being released from jail, Raja turned his life around. His heart started to move for the destitute, and he began to care for them. An unbelievable and incredible change occurred once he gave his life to Jesus.
