My name is Meyer Carragher. I grew up as a Jewish Orthodox person in Minnesota, where religious traditions meant following 613 strict rules without really nurturing a personal relationship with God. Over time, I felt increasingly isolated and emotionally overwhelmed by this rigid system. After a heartfelt conversation with my mother and noticing the warmth and authenticity at River Valley Church, I was drawn to a new way of life. I started watching sermons online, and the message of Jesus in the New Testament struck me profoundly. On October 4th, 2020, I made the life-changing decision to follow Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I was baptized on January 31st, 2021, and today I experience the freedom, new identity, and loving family that comes with a genuine relationship with Him.
