SummaryIβm Mpho, raised by my grandmother in both Christian and traditional rituals. From grade nine I suffered mysterious illnesses and dreams of ancestors demanding I become a sangoma. I endured baths, grave visits, candles, beer offerings, and ancestral calls by the river, all under a spiritβs pull. Yet in my searching I heard a preacher declare, βThe only way to God is through Christ.β Fear gripped me, but I opened the Scriptures, confessed Jesus as Lord, and renounced every ancestral articleβshaving my head and breaking my ritual tools. In that moment I felt prison walls fall; I was free, healed, and reborn in Christβs love. πβ¨
