Summary

I was a young boy in Humacao, Puerto Rico, mesmerized by a neighbor’s porn VHS, and later numbed myself with drugs, alcohol, and casual sex through high school—thinking that was “fun.” By age 21, I was empty, lonely, and desperate. I cried out to God, attended church services in San Antonio, and finally encountered a true message of holy living. Convinced by Bible study, I surrendered, and on October 28, 1993, I was baptized—trading a life of self-medication for one of true freedom in Christ.

Drugs. Alcohol. Sex.

I was guy just trying to “have fun.”

I was blindsided by the emotional and spiritual impact that being exposed to sex at such an early age would have on my life.

I self-medicated with pleasures to cover up the inadequacy I’ve felt since I was a young boy.

Was this all their was to life?

I cried out to God, hoping He would change my life.

God soon made it clear of the decision I needed to make.
