Summary

I am Tamika, a sickle cell warrior who nearly lost my life when COVID‑19 struck. I experienced severe chest pain, relentless coughs, and debilitating fatigue that made each breath a struggle. With the fear of my pre‑existing condition worsening, I cried out in despair. In the midst of that darkness, I found hope through my mother’s care, heartfelt prayers from family and church, and the life‑affirming promise of God who said, ‘You will live and not die.’ Through that divine intervention, I was given strength to overcome my illness and emerge with a testimony of miraculous healing and renewed hope.

I caught COVID-19 in April 2020. I also have sickle cell. My doctor told me I could die fi I contracted COVID-19, so I naturally was scared for my life. The fight felt like it was getting too hard and I got tired. I felt like I had no more fight left in me, but God said LIVE.
