In that moment, I surrendered my shame and saw a great light wash over me. πŸ™Œ From then on, I repented, forgave my abuser, and found freedom from night terrors, anxiety, and bitterness. Today, I serve on the worship team, write songs, and share my story so others know they are seen, loved, and restored by Jesus. ❀️

Kym grew up in a deeply dysfunctional and broken home. At a young age, she endured abuse from a family member. Throughout her early years, she grappled with thoughts of taking her life, depression, and sadness. Her life changed profoundly after a supernatural encounter with Jesus Christ. This is Kym’s story.

I was bound by fear and depression
so I called out the name of Jesus
Living in a cycle of brokenness
He revealed Himself as the light in the darkness
I was abused but Jesus restored me
I grew up in a broken home but Jesus brought stability
I was filled with bitterness
Until my Heavenly Father gave me forgiveness
This is the power of Jesus

El Roi, The God who sees me
met me at my lowest point of insecurity
He saw all of my pain, torment, and trauma
and revealed to me that He is Jehovah Rapha
Jesus is my healer
Who saw my wounds and put my broken pieces back together
Depression left when Jesus called me by name and gave me a purpose
This is the power of Jesus

Therefore I will sing unto Him who saved my life
with joyful praise and obedient sacrifice
This life i live is no longer my own but God’s
who saved me when i thought i was too far gone
I am grateful for His blood shed that made me whole
I am not ashamed but I believe and proclaim the the gospel
He rescued me from the schemes of the enemy
He rescued me so that I can tell the world He sets people free
All the Glory belongs to Jesus
