What started as a quick way to pay rent turned into a 15-year cycle of bondage: Iโ€™d save enough to escape, then blow it on another car or purse ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ‘œ. In my mid-20s, my sister and nana begged me to try church. One Sunday, something in my spirit said, โ€˜Go.โ€™ I showed up with one foot in the world and one foot in the pew. Then COVID hit, unemployment forced me to pause, and God gave me the courage to plan a real exit ๐Ÿšช๐Ÿ™. I surrendered my massive house and fancy cars, moved into a humble apartment, and began leaning fully into Jesus. Today, I live simplyโ€”small apartment, fewer possessionsโ€”but Iโ€™ve never felt more free, at peace, or full of joy ๐Ÿ™Œโœ๏ธ.
