Summary
SummaryI started working as a quarry man when I was 13, assuming I was helping my familyβ¦but in one frightening moment, my leg was cut and then my arm was severed by the stone cutting machine π. I woke up in the hospital, stitched and confused, asking God βWhy me?β π. Shortly after, my older brother died from inhaling quarry dust, leaving me as the only provider for my sick, aging parents. I felt abandoned and almost walked away from my faith. But then a partner from Open Doors came to me, lifting my spirit and giving practical help π. They supported me to begin raising animals, and little by little, I rebuilt my life. Even though I cannot read, joining a discipleship group taught me about Godβs love and restored my hope π. Today, I stand with a new livelihood and a grateful heart, declaring that God has never forsaken me π. Now, whenever I tell others who suffer, I say: βTurn to God and He will make a way!β
When Baher* (25) from #Egypt lost his arm β and later his brother β at the quarry where he worked, he was angry at God and almost walked away from his faith. But a visit from an Open Doors partner began to set Baher on the right track again.
