Summary
I grew up fatherless, battered by rejection and abuse. A lonely seven‑year‑old, I chased the first embrace that affirmed me—another girl—and spent over 20 years in lesbian relationships, marijuana, and liquor, proudly shouting “I’m gay and proud” while serving at NAS Jax. Yet every buzz grew emptier. My mother’s sudden death left me raging at a God I barely knew. One night in 2008, after yet another blunt couldn’t touch the ache, I surrendered: “Lord, nothing works—teach me Your ways.” He flooded me with truth, broke every chain of pride and addiction, and filled me with the Holy Spirit. Since 2010 He’s sent me from Florida to Kenya and radio pulpits to shout: **“Jesus still sets captives free—identity is only found in Him!”**
