SummaryIโ€™m Tom Rudelius, once a top Ivy-League physics student who assumed morality and intellect were enough. When my twin brother shocked me by becoming a Christian, curiosity pulled me into reading the New Testament and tagging along to church. Yet I still thought I was โ€œbasically goodโ€ โ€ฆ until a four-hour NSA polygraph forced me to confess every hidden lie and petty theft. That avalanche of guilt exposed my need for forgiveness and made the Gospelโ€™s offer blaze alive. In the airport afterwards I surrendered to Jesus, feeling an indescribable joy of grace. Community in a campus ministry discipled me, even through seasons of crippling academic doubts and anxiety. Today, as a theoretical-physics professor, I wield both mind and heart for Christ, telling others that evidence and allegiance to Jesus fit togetherโ€”and that His love is the greatest discovery of all.

Tom Rudelius was a top student at an Ivy League school, triple-majoring in physics, math, and statistical science, and had never given much thought to God. Maybe He existed… or maybe not… but there probably wasn’t any real way to tell. But then one day, Tom began looking for proof, and ended up finding faith.
