Summary

I grew up in the Philippines with a Catholic background but never truly grasped who Jesus was. I saw Christianity as just another subject at school, something to study for a grade rather than a life-giving relationship. Later, I moved to the UK and tried filling the void I felt inside, even exploring Islam for a time. Nothing seemed to answer my questions about purpose and identity. Then a friend invited me to a youth fellowship, and I witnessed the tangible joy and peace of believers who had a real relationship with Jesus. Curiosity pulled me in, and soon I attended a three-day encounter retreat. During that event, God opened my eyes and spoke to my heart. Realizing that Jesus was inviting me into a deeper connection, I chose to surrender my doubts and fears. Now my life is transformed: I’ve discovered true confidence, forgiven people I never thought I could, and found the warmth of a faith community. Most importantly, I finally understand I was made for a relationship with the living Godβ€”and that’s changed everything for me.
