Summary

Troy was raised with moral values, occasionally attending church, but lost his father at the age of 9 to a boating accident. As a teenager, he fell into selling drugs, growing hardened and convinced of his own invincibility. Despite earning the nickname β€œChurch Boy” on the streets, Troy also wrestled with guilt and memories of God’s warnings in his life. Everything changed when two undercover policemen set him up: he was shot, partially paralyzed, and placed in a solitary cell. There, he cried out in anger and despair. He heard God’s still, small voice reminding him of the many times God had tried to reach him. Troy surrendered his life fully to Christ. Unexpectedly, all major charges dropped, and he was freed within months. Leaving drug dealing behind, Troy declared his faith openlyβ€”transitioning from street life to following Jesus and sharing his story with everyone who would listen.
