SummaryI was in college when my husband Michael told me heβd been baptized in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. At first, I was skepticalβIβd never seen it in scripture or heard it in church! But Michael showed me passages like Matthew 3:11, Acts 1:4β5, and the Pentecost account in Acts 2:1β6. I decided to try it myself. In his campus apartment, Michael laid hands on me as I prayed in faith for the infilling of the Spirit and the evidence of tongues. After pressing in, I felt an actual fire in my bodyβwarmth spreading from my back to my fingertips, like electricity! Then, unintelligible syllables began to flow from my lips. I wept and worshiped for what felt like an hour, utterly overcome by Godβs presence. From that day on, Iβve spoken in tongues regularly. That encounter ignited my prophetic gift and gave me boldness to walk in the Spiritβs power. ππ₯
