I grew up as an altar girl in church but drifted into boys, parties, and college lifeβ€”confident that being β€œgood” would save me. A lonely campus service left me disillusioned until my sister called: she’d quit drugs cold-turkey through Bible study at the Tallahassee Church of Christ. Intrigued, I called the secretary, endured rumors of a β€œcult,” then walked into real fellowship. Daily Bible study uncovered my hidden sins and the truth of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. On June 26, 28 years ago, I made Jesus Lord of my lifeβ€”and I’ve never looked back.
