SummaryβHey, Iβm Edward Baker, and I want to share how Jesus completely turned my life around. π When I was a kid, I was a troublemakerβfighting at school and heading toward a destructive path. In fourth grade, my teacher warned my mom that by 15 Iβd either be dead or in jail. But my mom, a faithful woman of prayer, believed otherwise. One night at a church conference, a prophetess pointed at me and said I would preach to the nations one day. That stuck with me.
At age 11, I heard the Gospelβhow Jesus died to forgive my sins and give me new life. I surrendered to Him, and by 16 I committed my entire life to Christ. I got married at 20, had two amazing kids, and was teaching in college by 26. By 29, though, everything fell apart: I lost my job, my marriage ended, my home was gone, and I felt so alone. Depression swallowed me. I started watching porn and sleeping around, thinking I could fill the emptinessβbut I only sank lower.
One night, I drove with suicidal thoughtsβbelieving nobody cared if I lived or died. But then I heard a voice saying, βWhat are you doing? You still have work to do!β I went home, got on my knees, and remembered how Jesus suffered and died for me. I realized my pain couldnβt compare to His sacrifice. I repented and gave my life back to Him.
Today, Heβs restored me. Iβve been remarried almost 10 years, blessed with four beautiful children, and I teach againβmaking twice what I made before. God has been so good and faithful. π My life is evidence that He can restore any brokenness. Iβll never forget what Heβs done!β π
