Iโ€™m Alan Bate, a 75โ€‘yearโ€‘old who spent decades nominally Christian before delving into sรฉances and occult magazinesโ€”only to be shaken by a palpable evil presence. Seeking truth, I met Jenny at a Reading dancehall; through her, I was exposed to genuine believers, wrestled with Jehovahโ€™s Witness teachings, and navigated charismatic renewal in Baptist and Free Evangelical churches. A lifeโ€‘changing house fellowship in Chichester taught me the power of the living Word and the Holy Spiritโ€™s gifts. Together Jenny and I faced demonic manifestations, delivered drugโ€‘addicted youth, endured personal tragedy, and witnessed the Spiritโ€™s authority over occult strongholds. Fifty years on, weโ€™ve learned to move in faith, love, and victory.
