Summary
SummaryMy name is Thomas Chowski, and for decades I walked away from faith, considering myself an agnostic. Life in California saw me climb into school administration—teaching band, becoming assistant principal—only to be blindsided one afternoon when I was called into my principal’s office and told I was being terminated. I felt hopeless and lost with a young daughter depending on me. Desperate, I walked into a church just down the street, poured out my heart to a stranger, and in that moment I made a deal with Jesus: rescue me, and I will dedicate my life to You. Jesus met me where I was; that very night I professed my faith and was baptized. From that day in February 2006, at age 46, everything changed. God opened doors—I was placed in a music position working with children, directing band and choir—and later I found joy serving with Samaritan’s Purse on flood and tornado relief in Kentucky, Mississippi, Arkansas, and preparing for missions in Tanzania. My journey from agnostic doubt to fervent service reminds me that no matter how far we stray, Jesus meets us in our deepest need and calls us into His purpose. 🙏✨
