Summary
SummaryIβm Marcio, and I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, carrying the weight of my dadβs absence and the streets that became my playground. π High school stress, a part-time job, and the lure of easy money pushed me into drugs, car theft, and a six-month dropout. By age 21 I had money, lawyers, and a crippling addiction to painkillers and Xanaxβuntil a cold-turkey quit landed me in a four-day coma. π± I traded pills for heroin when the housing crash stripped me bare, living only to feed my habit. A failed carjacking and a rampage ended with me in cuffs and on a judgeβs docket. My lawyer sent me to Teen Challenge of the Midlands in Colfax, Iowa, thinking it might help. I boarded that plane as an atheistβand found Jesus instead. π Seven months sober, I see Godβs hand from my childhood struggles to my darkest moments, and Iβm walking in the call Heβs placed on my life. β¨
