By age 21 I had money, lawyers, and a crippling addiction to painkillers and Xanaxโ€”until a cold-turkey quit landed me in a four-day coma. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I traded pills for heroin when the housing crash stripped me bare, living only to feed my habit. A failed carjacking and a rampage ended with me in cuffs and on a judgeโ€™s docket. My lawyer sent me to Teen Challenge of the Midlands in Colfax, Iowa, thinking it might help. I boarded that plane as an atheistโ€”and found Jesus instead. ๐Ÿ™Œ Seven months sober, I see Godโ€™s hand from my childhood struggles to my darkest moments, and Iโ€™m walking in the call Heโ€™s placed on my life. โœจ
