Summary
Iβm Don, a retired Army Ranger sniper who once sat alone in my recliner with a pistol to my head, desperate to end the pain of my divorce and PTSD. But when my cat Romeo curled up on my chest, I felt Godβs hand spare me. Homeless and living in my truck, I wandered into a church parking lot for coffee and was welcomed by a veteran named Bruce. Though shaking with fear, I stayed for the sermon and, broken on my knees, I received Jesus. From that moment, guilt and shame melted away, PTSD still whispers at times, but the Holy Spirit guides me. Iβm free, filled with peace and purpose, and now help others find hope too.
