Summary
SummaryIβm Hannah, and for most of my childhood I felt alone and forgotten. π’ Since I was five, I had to care for myselfβgetting myself ready for school, choosing clothes, and trying to survive each day on my own. By fifth grade, I felt completely invisible: students ignored me, teachers dismissed me, and cruel rumors made me spiral into deep depression and anxiety at just ten years old. I was angry at God, wondering why He would let me suffer. At that time, I discovered my mom was a drug addict, and soon we became homeless. ποΈ I remember living in our car and being left in an empty apartment without food or water, terrified and helpless. One day, a sheriff found me at Caseyβs convenience store and took me to safety. It felt like Godβs hand reached down to rescue me.
After my dad saved me and we got back on our feet, I excelled academically and felt invincible. But when I went to college in Lincoln, I made poor choices until I met a guy who introduced me to Jesus. When I heard the pastor explain that I could never be perfect enough to reach God on my own, I realized I needed Jesusβ sacrifice. I prayed and accepted Him, and all my anxiety and restlessness vanishedβHis peace flooded my soul for the first time. π No matter what you go through, no matter who you are or what youβve done, God loves you. He just wants you to take His hand, and youβll be amazed at where He takes you! β€οΈ
Being neglected since the age of five has sent Hannah down a brutal path. Where is God when life gets hard?
