Summary

Summaryβ€œI remember the crack of guns and the shouts at dawnβ€”Qaraqosh had fallen. My family and I hid for three terrifying weeks, listening to doors being smashed in and shells raining down. When they found us, they separated me and my daughter, Tanya, from my husband and sons.

Now, it’s just Tanya and me, living each day in a new place, broken but not defeated. My faith in God remains unshakenβ€”I believe with all my heart that He will reunite us. Every morning I pray for their safe return, for the rebuilding of our homes, and for lasting peace in Iraq. πŸ™β€οΈβ€
