SummaryIβm Sam Petro, and I grew up in a loving Christian home where perfection felt like my only option. In junior high, the pressure built until I rebelledβfirst with cigarettes, then parties and legal highs. By college, my grades slipped, and I chased acceptance in every new drug I tried. Even when I landed a great job, I couldnβt stop the cycle of relapse. After waking handcuffed in an ambulance, I knew I needed real change. My family connected me with Adult & Teen Challenge of the Midlands in Omaha, and there God met me in my brokenness. He cleared the fog of addiction, healed my worthlessness, and gave me a new identity in Christ. Now, as a mentor, I get to walk alongside others toward hope and lasting freedom!
