Though I met Jesus at age 7 at summer camp and experienced His peace, high school obsessions with beauty and acceptance led to secret binge‑and‑purge cycles 🤐. Senior year I enrolled at Azusa Pacific University, joined a vibrant chapel community, and began spending daily time with God 📖🙏. Slowly, my worth shifted from outward perfection to His unconditional love, and my eating disorder lost its power ✨.

My relationship with Jesus changed my perspective, and what I was living for. He helped me to overcome the need to look perfect, be accepted and loved by peers, and being controlled by food. When God is your first love, your beauty and worth come from Him. He can heal painful wounds of the past. This is my story of how I came to know Jesus, then walked away from him during High School. I came back to Him during my first year of college and realized only God can fulfill the deepest longings of my heart. My life was changed forever, and I hope my story might encourage anyone out there struggling with any trial, or anyone who just wants to know that Jesus is true and changes lives.
