I used to be trapped in a world of rigid legalism that made me feel I had to sacrifice my unique style and personality. I remember days when even wearing a bold red wig would invite judgment. I felt rejected by God for simply loving creative fashion. In my darkest momentsβ€”smoking, binge drinking, and seeking escape at nightβ€”I encountered Jesus unexpectedly in a club bathroom. In that transformative moment, God’s overwhelming kindness and love shattered my chains of legalism. I found freedom and a renewed identity in Him. Now, I live every day as a celebration of the creative, joyful life God intended for me.
